Sunday Brunch At Town Hall

This year, more than ever before, it feels like many fabulous restaurants are opening up to the idea of doing weekend brunches. Take Town Hall, for example. Town Hall has been a favourite spot for many ever since it opened in Delhi's Khan Market in 2013. Its second location in Gurgaon opened to equally eager customers, happy to lap up Chef Augusto Carbera's innovative take on modern Japanese cuisine. They have recently introduced a Sunday Brunch here that takes many signature dishes from the ala carte menu to create a lavish brunch spread that ticks mark three crucial checkboxes: Taste, choice and value.

Town Hall Sunday Brunch: The Spread

It's a lavish spread needless to say and you have plenty to pick from. The Sushi bar, which also serves as the ceviche counter, is a great place to start your meal. Don't miss the salads, they are fresh and come plated in mini-dishes that allow you to get a taste of as many as you like. ThePrawn and Chives Dim Sums were juicy and flavourful, encased in a thin translucent covering - none of that thick, sticky, dry covering some places serve these days. The Crispy Lamb and Sole Tempura are delicious appetisers to dig into. TheMargherita Pizza shines, as does the Pepperoni Pizza. The appetisers and pizzas are served hot on the table, fresh off the pan and oven. In the Mains section, the Indian Red Snapper (Opakapaka on the menu) with Udon is fabulous. The fish was cooked really well and flavoured ever so delicately. The Chicken Kra Pow - a typical Thai dish made with minced chicken and lots of fresh Thai basil leaves - is a very good option too. And, then there are desserts; a fair variety to pick from, and fresh breads too.

But here's the cracker. Town Hall has priced these very competitively. Its great value for money in addition to the quality, service and ambience it offers.

Time to celebrate the Delhi nip some more over lazy lunches on cosy winter days. Cheers to that!
