  • Try these overnight-soaked recipes with oats, jowar and rajgira.

Overnight oatmeals have become a sensation not just for their make-ahead preparation but also for their delicious taste and nutritional value. But oats are not the only food that can be consumed without cooking and just by soaking. Ancient Indian grains like jowar and rajgira are other great options to make quick overnight breakfast bowls. These grains are gluten-free, which means they are ideal for a diabetes diet, and brim with various other health-benefiting properties.

Nutritionist Avanti Deshpande suggested three overnight breakfast recipes with oats, jowar and rajgira (amaranth) on her YouTube channel. Each recipe with these healthy grains adds the goodness of other ingredients like fruits, nuts and seeds. All you have to do is mix the foods at night and let them soak overnight. When you are ready to consume it in the morning, just garnish and enjoy.
