Is diabetes worse in the summer?  

People with diabetes may have a greater susceptibility to the adverse effects of heat. Alterations in glucose homeostasis and changes in insulin kinetics are possible in summer. Sweat glands are also affected and the body can't cool effectively, making diabetics lose too much water from their bodies. All of this can lead to:  

  • Dehydration   
  • Exhaustion  
  • Hypoglycemia or Hyperglycemia  
  • Electrolyte imbalance  
  • Frequent urination

How Can You Control Diabetes In Summer:  

1. Stay hydrated:  

Staying well-hydrated is paramount. One should consume ample water throughout the day, even if they do not feel particularly thirsty. 2. Avoid caffeine or alcohol:
