Viral videos can introduce us to a range of baking and cooking hacks. But have you ever seen someone baking mini cakes in hollowed-out oranges? Recently, a reel showing a young person doing so over a campfire took Instagram by storm. In the reel by @flockofsebells, a father states "Years ago, I taught my kids how to bake molten lava chocolate cakes in an orange in a campfire." As the video proceeds, we see the now grown-up kid making the dish at a campsite.

The dad says, "Last night, my son produced the best batch of it we ever tasted." The vlogger's son is seen cutting off the top of oranges and scooping out the fleshy filling until empty. He measures the ingredients for the cake - what seems to be some oil and fudge brownie premix. He combines the ingredients in a shallow bowl/plate and then pours the batter into the hollowed-out oranges. The 'filled fruits' are then covered in aluminium foil and kept to bake on a grill over the campfire. The vlogger clarified "My brother-in-law tended the fire and helped with the actual baking. We all agreed it tasted incredibly good. The student is now the master."
In the reel, we see someone scoop out a morsel of the gooey cake from the baked orange. The other campers gather around to taste it too. The caption of the Instagram post read, "Have you ever baked brownies in an orange while camping on a mountain? We did last night, and it was incredibly delicious. Thanks to Max for perfecting the recipe. Best version of it any of us have ever had." Watch the full video below:
