Mira Kapoor is one of the biggest foodies on Instagram. A quick scroll through her profile will show you how much she loves cooking and savouring all kinds of delicious dishes. The stunning 26-year-old is a vegetarian since childhood and is experimenting with multiple cookbooks and cooking techniques these days. "The world is moving towards being more plant-based and it's not just about vegan cheese and meat substitutes, but about honouring each vegetable and fruit, enjoying it for its inherent flavour and having fun with it in spontaneous ways," she wrote in a recent Instagram post. Mira Kapoor took to Instagram to share a click of a simple cucumber salad which she reinvented using a secret ingredient. Wondering what it is? Take a look:
"Cucumber salad with smashed garlic and ginger," wrote Mira Kapoor in the Instagram story. She further explained that the recipe was from Yotam Ottolenghi's vegetarian cookbook called 'Plenty'. The diva seemed to be quite surprised with the simple cucumber salad and how delicious it turned out just by adding ginger in it. "Didn't think the simple ingredients would taste so good. I was expecting a regular kachumber. But the dressing and slices ginger made all the difference."
How easy and creative right? Kudos to Mira Kapoor for whipping up a cucumber salad in a unique and innovative way. She had recently shared a click of the four vegetarian cookbooks which she purchased and is now sourcing her recipes from. Mira Kapoor said that they featured simple recipes which were easy to read and make substitutions wherever necessary. Take a look at her post.

"Here are 4 books I have recently bought and absolutely love because they speak to the kind of cook I am. Short flavourful recipes that put vegetables and good produce front and centre, diverse enough to have varied menus and appropriately simple to follow and be inventive with," she wrote on Instagram. In fact, Mira Kapoor had also sent the book by Otto Lenghi to her sister, interior designer Noor Wadhwani, for a 'long-distance cook-off'.
We hope to see Mira Kapoor trying out many more recipes from her favourite cookbooks!
