Lechona, a traditional Colombian dish comprising a whole roasted pig stuffed with onions, peas, rice, fresh herbs, and spices, secured the first rank. Three Indian dishes made it to the list, with two timeless delicacies securing their spots in the 50 best dishes in the world.
Murgh Makhani, internationally referred to as butter chicken, bagged the 29th spot in the 100 best dishes in the world. Prepared with a lip-smacking combination of roasted meat, plenty of spices, and a rich gravy made with cream, tomatoes, and butter, this dish is best accompanied by naan (a type of Indian bread) and garnished with even more butter, coriander, or green chilis. The next Indian dish on the list is Hyderabadi biryani on the 31st spot. This aromatic and fragrant dish consists of basmati rice, goat mutton or chicken meat, lemon, yoghurt, onions, and saffron. Another Indian dish that made it to the list is Keema, which is on the 100th spot. Keema is a stew or curry made with minced lamb or goat meat, green peas, potatoes, ginger, chilli, onions, ghee, garlic, and garam masala spices. In Urdu, keema means minced meat. It is best served with pav buns, naan, and other flatbreads and can also be used as a filling for samosas and parathas.
