The restrictions imposed due to the COVID-19 virus and the precautionary measures we all had to take caused many to put their creativity to use and learn to live with the virus. Everything from office meetings to university classes moved online while people became more cautious about eating out. Now, as China reels under a fresh wave of COVID-19, an amusing video has resurfaced that shows a man wearing a beak-shaped mask while eating.
In the video, uploaded on Twitter, a man is seen with a mask that seems to be made by joining two pieces of cardboard. As the man opens his mouth, the mask, which has been supported by threads, also opens like a bird's peak allowing him to eat comfortably. We can see him using chopsticks to pick some rice and salad and eat it while keeping his unique mask on. “Bulls like me feeding on stocks today despite the Covid fears after wearing a mask,” the caption read.
Well, this was not the only person who came up with amusing solutions to deal with the COVID-19 curbs. Back in 2020, a restaurant in Kolkata started offering face masks with a zip so that people could eat safely without worrying about contracting the virus. The 2-D-themed restaurant named Wok'ies gave away unique masks to their customers that don't require to be removed while eating. Not only the masks were unique but the eatery also distributed them for free to the visitors. The owner of the restaurant, Somoshree Sengupta, said that customers could ask if they wanted to keep the mask or not. “We're providing it to customers without any extra charges. However, it is not mandatory, they can wear it if they want to,” she said. Many had started avoiding eating out after the pandemic hit the world.
