The video was originally shared on TikTok, which is currently banned in India. It received millions of views and soon made its way to other social media platforms, such as YouTube and Twitter.

"Saw on TikTok that if you put garlic in your nose, it unclogs your sinuses. Let's give this a try," wrote the user Rozaline Katherine in the caption of the video. In the short clip, we can see Katherine inserting the garlic cloves into her nostrils and waiting for 10-15 minutes. She then proceeds to show the 'moment of truth' to the camera where her nose is completely runny. "It works. It really works," she exclaims in the video.
