When it comes to Indian sweets, we all know that there is no dearth of variety. Be it rasgulla or kalakand, it is really hard to say no to these sugar-laden sweets. But gulab jamun holds a special place in everyone's hearts. Tender and perfectly round balls dipped in sugar syrup just melt in the mouth instantly sending us into a food coma. You warm them up to bring in some extra softness or eat the gulab jamuns cold, they remain delectable. And, how can we forget relishing a couple of gulab jamuns with a dollop of vanilla ice cream at weddings and parties? Basically, a gulab jamun is what we need to make our day sweeter. And sometimes even preparing this dessert can be fun. If you don't believe us, then Yami Gautam may change your mind. The actor channeled her inner chef with her sister, Surilie Gautam, and made gulab jamuns on Sunday.

In a video, uploaded by Yami Gautam's sister on Instagram, the two are seen dedicatedly preparing gulab jamuns. As Yami takes some flour in a bowl, her sister proceeds to toss in some cardamom powder. The duo then adds the rest of the ingredients and successfully makes round and delectable gulab jamuns. Towards the end, Yami and her sister are seen enjoying the homemade dessert, which seems absolutely tasty. Take a look at the full video here.

First, arrange the ingredients below.

Khoya – 300 grams

Flour – 3 tbsp

Sugar – 3 tbsp

Saffron – a pinch

Refined oil – 200 grams

Water – ½ litre

Now follow the steps below.

Step – 1 Mix khoya and flour together in a bowl to form dough.

Step – 2 Make small round balls of the dough.

Step – 3 To make the sugar syrup, dissolve 3 tbsp of sugar in ½ litre of water and add saffron to it.

Step – 4 Deep fry the gulab jamuns in a pan before dumping them in sugar syrup.

Step – 5 Your gulab jamuns are ready.
