Diya At The Leela Ambience Introduced 'Gharana' To Present Comforting Home-Like Traditional Indian Food

There's nothing like ghar ka khana. The sense of comfort and belonging is what you yearn for at the end of the day, and that comes only from the traditional Indian foods that we have grown up eating. Now, you can get the same comfort and warmth while eating out at The Leela Ambience, Gurugram.  Diya, the Indian restaurant in the opulent hotel started the new year by introducing ‘Gharana', which literally means ‘recipes from our homes'. Not to be mistaken for a regular fare; expert home chefs take centre stage to present their signature recipes which have been passed down through generations, perfected over time. Led by Chef Ajay Sahoo under the guidance of Executive Chef Ashish Bhasin, Gharana will give you an opportunity to taste a variety home-like foods by welcoming a home chef every month to present a new cuisine, different flavours laid out in a set menu.

Take a departure from the present-day culinary world influenced by foreign cuisines and step back to touch base with you roots with the long-forgotten foods that still haven't lost their charm.

Chef Shaista Iqbal presented a new perspective experience that has been tastefully curated to ensure that the guests experience the real India with her unique recipes.

Each and every dish on the menu pleased our taste buds. All the dishes were cooked to perfection creating a harmony between flavours and texture. Mutton tikka, Lucknavi seekh kebab and shami kebab gave our meal a great start and charged up our appetite. Nalli Nihari and fish curry with yakhni dum biryani and special breads, made us drool. For vegetarians, sukhe chole and baingan ka bharta were the best picks. Sheer and shahi tukda for desserts gave the perfect sweet ending to our meal.
