Eggs have often been touted as a man's best friend due to their versatility in the world of gastronomy. One of the most nutritious foods, eggs can fit easily in any meal of the day - be it a protein-rich breakfast or a wholesome dinner. When it comes to breakfast, boiled eggs have been a popular choice. They are packed with several essential nutrients, especially protein, and have number of health benefits. Boiled eggs during the breakfast give a boost of energy to start a day with.
But same food everyday can get boring at times. Hence, we bring a recipe that can add flavours to a simple boiled egg - egg keema. This recipe is quick and easy to prepare and make a wholesome breakfast meal when eaten with pav or plain paratha. It can also be a scrumptious alternative to the famous Maharashtrian dish keema pav (especially for the eggetarians).

Here's The Recipe Of Boiled Egg Keema:
Ingredient:
Hard-boiled eggs- 4 (Click here to know how to make perfect hard-boiled egg)
Onion- 1 (chopped)
Tomato- 1 (chopped)
Green Chilli- 2 (chopped)
Ginger-garlic paste- 1-2 teaspoon
Cinnamon stick- 1
Cardamom- 3-4
Clove- 2-3
Bay leaf- 1
Dry red chilli (whole)- 1
Salt and sugar- as per taste
Pav bhaji masala- 2-3 teaspoons (Here's the recipe for homemade pav bhaji masala)
Kashmiri red chilli powder- 1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder- half teaspoon
Oil- 1-2 tablespoon
Method:
Shred or finely chop the hard boiled eggs and keep aside.
Heat oil in the pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, bay leaf, clove and dry red chilli. Saute till the spices start crackling.
Add onion and fry for a minute. Add green chilli and ginger-garlic paste and fry again till the onions turns beautiful golden in colour.
Add tomato to it. Now, put salt, sugar, turmeric powder, Kashmiri red chilli powder and pav bhaji masala to it and fry well in medium flame. Cook the mix till it starts releasing oil and turns red-ish in colour.
Finally, add the shredded/chopped hard-boiled egg and mix them well. Lower the flame, close the lid and let the whole thing cook for one to two minutes.
You boiled egg keema is ready. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves, lemon wedge and a tablespoon of butter and serve with butter toasted pav.
