Boil the chickpeas with 5 to 6 whistles. After cooling, grind them lightly in a mixer grinder. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add cumin and asafoetida. Add chopped onions and fry for two minutes. Add chopped tomatoes and fry for some time. Put boiled ground gram in it and fry for some time. Add salt, red chilli, coriander powder, and a little garam masala in it as per your taste, mix well and turn off the gas. Take two bread slices, spread the prepared mixture on the bread, and cover it with another bread slice. Now, put it in the toaster and roast it until it becomes crispy. Your sandwich is ready.
