While samosa and paani puri hog all the limelight when it comes to Indian street foods, the equally relished treats like bread pakoda are often side-lined. Just like all other popular street foods, you can find a vendor selling crispy, piping hot bread pakoda in every nook and cranny of your city, especially, in north India. Bread slices stuffed with a fiery filling of aloo or paneer, or both - there's no way our desi palate can resist the temptation on seeing it coming out of boiling oil. Bread pakoda is one of the few street dishes that people prefer to make at home since it is very easy to make.
Typical bread pakoda is made with the stuffing of potatoes, but here we have a recipe that gives it an Italian spin. This cheese burst bread pakoda will remind you of a cheesy pizza but with the desi flavours of pakoda. The fusion dish was created by food vlogger Ananya Banerjee and was posted on her YouTube channel.
