While samosa and paani puri hog all the limelight when it comes to Indian street foods, the equally relished treats like bread pakoda are often side-lined. Just like all other popular street foods, you can find a vendor selling crispy, piping hot bread pakoda in every nook and cranny of your city, especially, in north India. Bread slices stuffed with a fiery filling of aloo or paneer, or both - there's no way our desi palate can resist the temptation on seeing it coming out of boiling oil. Bread pakoda is one of the few street dishes that people prefer to make at home since it is very easy to make.

This cheese burst bread pakoda will remind you of a cheesy pizza but with the desi flavours of pakoda. The fusion dish was created by food vlogger Ananya Banerjee and was posted on her YouTube channel.

Here's the detailed recipe of cheese burst bread pakoda: 

Step 1 - In a bowl, mix chopped onions, boiled corns, chopped capsicum, green chilli, pizza-pasta sauce, Italian seasoning, lots of cheese, and mix it all well. 

Step 2 - To make batter, take besan, rice flour, baking powder, salt and red chilli powder to taste. Also add some water and pizza-pasta sauce.

Step 3 - Take some bread slices, cut off the sides. Stuff in the filling between two slices and cut all the sandwiches diagonally into two halves.  

Step 4 - Now dip all the pieces in besan water and fry till golden-brown.

Serve the bread pakoda with mint chutney or tomato chutney and enjoy the street-style experience in the comfort of your home. The oodles of cheese spurting out in every bite will make it even better.
