Rabdi - the mere sight of it makes our mouth water. Whether you are pouring it over hot, just-out-of-frying-oil jalebi in winter, or splaying your syrup-soaked malpuas with it, or having it plain cold in summer, rabdi is one Indian dessert no one can say 'no' to. If you have ever made rabdi at home, you would agree that the process is time-consuming, and somehow, we don't always get the same flavour and texture of the rabdi that halwais make. Here we solve both the problems by bringing you a recipe of instant rabdi that will give you the same creamy, thick and rich rabdi that we all like to have.
If you have unexpected guests over, or are just craving for this creamy delight, now you can make your favourite rabdi in just 5 minutes! We don't see why anybody would give this recipe a miss.
Here's the detailed recipe of instant halwai-style rabdi posted on YouTube channel 'Cook With Parul'.
Instant Rabdi Recipe I How To Make Rabdi In 5 Mins:
Step 1 - Take 2 large sandwich breads, lob off their dark sides. Put the slices in the grinder to make crumbs.
Step 2 - Boil around 2 cups of full-fat milk. Add the breadcrumbs, keep boiling at medium-low flame.
Step 3 - Add half cup milk powder, some water, and stir well. Boil for another 2-3 minutes.
Step 4 - Now add some chopped dry fruits of your choice - cashews, raisins, almonds etc.
Step 5 - Add in sugar while stirring, also add in powder of 3 cardamoms (elaichi). You will see that milk begins to thicken.
Step 6 - Finally, add in some ghee for rich flavour and glaze. Turn off the gas. The rabdi will become thicker after it cools down at room temperature.
