There is something irresistible about Indian mithais and sweets that makes them so different from desserts all around the world. Gulab jamun, kheer, kaju katli, gajar ka halwa - each of these drool-worthy delicacies offers a burst of flavour like no other! While we Indians are aware of how delicious Indian desserts are, foreigners, who are not exposed to the cuisine, don't understand the sweet magic of the mithai. But one man is trying to change that! A foreigner living in India is sharing his love for mithai and Indian sweets online and he is making us fall in love with mithais all over again.

Karl Rice, popularly known as Karl Rocks online, is a New Zealander who seems to have fallen in love with our country! He has been living in India on and off for a while now and is predominantly famous for his vlogs circling his adventures around India and its neighbouring countries, Pakistan and Bangladesh. He takes pride in the fact that he has visited almost every state and union territory in India and "aims to make others fall in love with India and the subcontinent."

Karl Rock is married to a Haryanvi and he loves to share the cultural traditions that are followed in his Indian household. Recently he revealed that on special occasions, his mother-in-law and neighbours love to come together to prepare an "ancient Indian dish" called pude. We Indians are familiar with this delicacy by the name of malpua or meethi pude. In the video he shared on his Instagram, he showed how pudes are made in his house and he sounded deeply fascinated by this Indian dessert. Take a look:
