Gathi was of special significance during the festival of Holi and Gudi Padwa, and was sold by the kilos at this time. The video showed the step-by-step process of preparing the Jewellery Mithai. First, a thick sugar syrup was prepared and then segregated into two parts. One part was kept as it is, while the other was made orange in colour with the addition of a natural food colouring. Both the syrups were poured alternatively into flower moulds, and then removed to give the resulting flower garland aka Jewellery Mithai!
