Tandoori cooking has become an integral part of Indian food, especially Mughlai or North Indian cuisine. Whether it's Tandoori chicken or mutton, Paneer Tikka or Tandoori Roti - there are so many dishes which utilise the humble clay oven. It is quite possible to recreate the smoky Tandoori flavours using other techniques and methods of cooking. Chef and cookbook author Sabrina Ghayour is well-known for her cookbooks on middle-eastern cuisine, and she attempted recreating a much-loved Tandoori dish at home. She took to Twitter to share a yummy Tandoori chicken which she made in her oven. Take a look:

"Proper Tandoori style chicken (made indoors!) last night for dinner with the kids. They love it and it's got a pretty decent spice kick to it," she wrote on Twitter. She further revealed that it took her just two minutes to make and 45 minutes to bake. "Can't share recipe yet but it's on its way," she concluded.
The ravishing Tandoori chicken dish indeed looked delicious, with the chicken charred and the smoky flavour imbued in the dish just right. The picture shared by Sabrina Ghayour received over 1.7k likes and counting. The fact that the recipe was made in the regular oven and not in the Tandoor was what made it a class apart.
Desi Twitter users praised celebrity chef Sabrina Ghayour for her marvellous creation. Many asked her to share the recipe for the yummy dish. Her post also got attention from celebrated chef and food writer, Nigella Lawson.
