Actor Soha Ali Khan has shared the recipe for a homemade digestive tea, an important part of her evening routine. Three things, the actress said, she has been loving this week: her post-dinner digestive tea, Japanese author Keigo Higashino's novel Malice, and finally being able to do a pull-up.

Among them, it was the easy-to-make herbal tea that caught the attention of many. Calling it her "little evening ritual", Soha, in her Instagram post, said she enjoyed the drink after dinner, for it was comforting after a meal.

What's In Soha Ali Khan's Digestive Tea?

The tea is made using just a handful of kitchen ingredients:

  • 1 small cinnamon stick (1–2 inches)
  • 1 cm fresh ginger, lightly crushed
  • ¼ teaspoon fennel seeds
  • 2–3 basil leaves
  • 1 cup water

To prepare it, add all the ingredients to water, bring it to a boil and let it simmer for five to seven minutes before straining and serving.

Books And Fitness Goals

Apart from her post-dinner digestive tea, Soha also shared two other favourites from her week. She said she is currently reading Malice by Japanese mystery writer Keigo Higashino, adding that she has found herself revisiting his books. Alongside the novel, she is also reading The Beauty Myth by Naomi Wolf, saying she likes to pair a fiction book with a non-fiction read.
