On April Fool's Day on April 1, we stay on high alert for pranks and misleading information. We know that many brands and publications like taking advantage of the occasion to make a joke at our expense. Often, we easily spot the prank even before it's revealed. But there are some instances where we get drawn in and start believing something that is untrue. On Saturday, Swiggy decided to capitalise on people's love for a discontinued treat: Cadbury Bytes. These sweet flaky pockets filled with chocolate (or strawberry) make people nostalgic about the good old days. The mention of the snack even today can make many people emotional. So what did Swiggy do exactly? They added an option to buy Cadbury Bytes on their app, along with other items like 'Cadbury Chocki' and 'Cadbury Milk Treat'. However, when people tried to add Bytes to their cart, they got a message saying, "Oops you just got fooled." A Twitter user @vismayeet shared a screenshot of the same and expressed her anger at the harsh prank.
