This Long Weekend, Savour The Taste Of Kerala At Tamasha, Delhi
Tamasha is a restaurant that needs no introduction.

Highlights

  • Tamasha is a well-known restaurant in Connaught Place, New Delhi
  • The eatery has a special Kerala Food Festival ongoing
  • Here's all you need to know and what you should try

A well-known restaurant in the heart of the capital city, Tamasha needs no introduction. Citizens of Delhi often throng the Connaught Place eatery to bond over amazing drinks, crunchy snacks and more. Tamasha has always been popular for a stunning outdoor ambience with great music and a buzzing vibe. But this time, the restaurant has upped its ante by introducing a bevy of flavours from the coastal state of Kerala. Tamasha is hosting a limited-edition Kerala food festival for its patrons, and we recently got to try some of the spicy and lip-smacking treats being served there.

The Kerala food festival coincides with Vishu, also known as Kerala New Year which is being celebrated on 15th April 2022. Tamasha has added the coastal delights as additional options, in a special section added to their regular menu. Thus, you can find the original Tamasha staples along with these Kerala-special treats. We started off our meal with the unique Paneer Pepper Fry appetiser, paired with two special drinks - Buttermilk and Tomato Rasam. While the Buttermilk was light and refreshing, the Tomato Rasam had peppery and tangy notes. There are many other appetiser options for non-vegetarians as well.

Coming to main course, we highly recommend the Kerala Egg Roast with Malabar Parotta. The egg was coated in a fiery gravy and complimented the Parotta perfectly. The Vegetable Stew and Appam was our next pick - a heavenly combination that was light, comforting and extremely fulfilling. We also sampled the Signature Thalassery Biryani with green chutney, Raita and two kinds of pickles. A lavish feast indeed!

Our happy and indulgent meal came to a sweet end with two desserts - Pazhampori or deep-fried banana fritters, and Ada Pradhaman or sweet jaggery Payasam with rice flakes and reduced milk. The latter especially was soothing and soul-stirring.
