During this festival, also known as Shardiya Navratri or Maha Navratri, devotees pay their respects to Goddess Durga and her nine incarnations, collectively known as 'Navdurga'. The tenth day is celebrated as 'Dashmi'. It's worth noting that there are four Navratris in a year, but Chaitra Navratri and Sharad Navratri are the most widely observed.

This year, Sharad Navratri is set to kick off on October 15, 2023, and will wrap up on October 24, 2023, concluding with Dashmi, according to drikpanchang.com.

Kalash Sthapana, the ceremonial installation of the sacred pot, will take place on October 15, 2023, starting from 11:44 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.

Sharad Navratri carries deep spiritual significance, as it's believed that during these first nine days, Goddess Durga descends to Earth to be with her devotees.
