I don't know anyone who doesn't like cheese. I, for one, am deeply and madly in love with it. What makes our favourite pizza, pasta and burger taste so good? Yes, it's cheese; without cheese, you would find these foods just like regular, boring foods. Ironically, the more we eat cheese and cheese-based foods, the more it fills us with guilt. We have always been made to believe that cheese, with all its high-fat content, is harmful for us and leads to weight gain. But, to our delight, some studies claim it be a myth.
A study, conducted by the researchers at Iowa State University and published in the Journal of Alzhiemer's Disease, stated that if you eat cheese responsibly, i.e in limited quantity, it may actually also help your mental health. Surprised? So was I when I saw this, but my surprise was accompanied by boundless happiness.
This is a fact that cheese is rich in protein which keeps us sated for long and may prevent excessive eating. So, now that I know that we can eat cheese guilt-free, but sparingly, of course, here are some yummy cheese snacks recipes I can't wait to try.
