In the caption, she mentioned that you can enjoy lotus stem in form of vegetables, salad, curries or pickles. 

Pooja Makhija stated, “The Dal Lake houses the most lotus stems in all of India. The quality is amazing and is exported everywhere. Lotus stem is a great vasodilator because it's very rich in potassium. It also controls the homocysteine levels because of high pyridoxin. Therefore, it's great for heart health.”

She added that this high pyridoxin also helps with the nerve endings in our brain and therefore, helps us with anxiety, depression, short-term memory loss, and mood swings.
