Grammy Awards 2016: A Sneak Preview into the Special Menu
Here’s a sneak peek of the menu at the 58th Grammy Awards ceremony to be held on the 15th of February, 2016 at The Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
Glamour on the Red Carpet, magic on stage and 83 awards to hand out… The Grammy’s are fast approaching and that too, with the hottest names in the music industry. The ceremony will recognise the best recordings, compositions and artists from October 1st, 2014 to September 30th, 2015 and LL Cool J will return to host the awards ceremony for the fifth year in a row. It’s sure to be an unforgettable night with several high-profile performances and collaborations. Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with 11 nominations, followed by Taylor Swift (7 nominations) who is all set to open the show with a track from her nominated album, "1989”. Lady Gaga will perform a tribute to the late David Bowie. And Adele is back this year! We’re super kicked about this ten-time Grammy champ’s performance, as well as Justin Bieber’s.

A Taste of The 2016 Grammy’sStaples Center’s Executive Chef Joseph Martin may not be taking center stage, but he’s definitely a star performer.  He’s carefully curated a menu that celebrates the achievements of the artists and hits every note (pun intended). Fact: The Staples Center will serve 6,900 pieces of sushi, 1,200 oysters, 1,105 pounds of chicken, 990 pounds of tenderloin, 640 pounds of U-10 shrimp, 1,800 pieces of dessert and 350 pounds of ahi tuna on the big night. So what’s in store?

“Uptown Funk” Peking Duck Rolls, “Love Me Tender” Chicken with fried truffle mac and cheese and bourbon glaze and a whole lot more. The Baja Taco Truck Food Station will serve pollo asada and crispy Pacific rock cod street tacos – using 4,000 corn tortillas and 30 gallons of salsa – pepita caesar salad, smoked bacon refried beans and lime-scented Spanish long grain rice. (If only we were invited)! Winter citrus salad, caramelized rainbow cauliflower ‘steaks’, et al are on offer for vegetarians at The Santa Monica Farmers’ Market Station. This year’s dessert table includes blue chocolate popcorn, Pop Rocks shooters, liquid chocolate s’mores, crème puffs dusted with edible glitter and even cotton candy trees.

Without further ado, here’s what your favourite performers will be eating on Music’s Biggest Night.
