Most of us like to have toasted bread and butter or jam for breakfast. And, when we get bored with this, we switch to different kinds of spreads to savour them with bread. One would find various kinds of spread rich in exotic flavours and ingredients available in the market. However, there's always a fear of preservatives that comes along with readymade preserved food items. So, the best you can do is make your own special spread at home which is fresh, natural and healthy. No, you don't always have to make it sweet, rather, you can enjoy a guilt-free experience with a delectable spread recipe shared by nutritionist Pooja Makhija on Instagram.

In the caption, she mentioned, “Looking healthy, omega 3 rich, full of antioxidants, superb anti-aging, very filling, super tasty spread? Look no further than Avo-choco spread.” This recipe would be perfect for you if you like to indulge in avocados and want to enjoy their health benefits.

How did she make the spread?

First of all, she used a knife and cut an avocado carefully into half. She then moved on to remove the seed from it. Pooja then added the remaining part in a jar. Now, it's time to put other ingredients one by one - unsweetened cocoa powder, coffee followed by organic stevia powder. She then grind it all well and the spread was ready. Later, she spread a generous amount of it on toasted bread and topped it with slices of strawberries. This could be your healthy and easy-to-make recipe on any given day.

Apart from the spread, you can enjoy various similar healthy dips with your evening snacks. Want to know how? Pooja Makhija had once shared an interesting and creamy carrot dip that's packed with a rich flavour and nutrients.

To make this, first, heat some oil in a pan and saute onions until they turn brown. Now, add chopped garlic and diced carrots and stir well. Put chopped almonds, tomato puree, chilli flakes, cumin powder, and fresh coriander leaves one by one. You have to cook the preparation until the carrots soften. After a while, add smoked paprika, lemon juice, and orange juice along with salt and mix. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and enjoy.
