Shared on Instagram by popular blogger Sarah Crawford, aka @bromabakery, the Reels video has received over 238k views and 17.2k likes since the time it was shared. The recipe has gone viral and garnered attention from many foodies as well. "According to Papa Google, this is the best caramel on the internet. bonus points: no thermometer required," Crawford wrote in the caption.
In the recipe for salted caramel, Crawford first starts by melting sugar in a heavy-bottomed pan on medium-low heat. She keeps stirring it continuously throughout to avoid the formation of lumps and prevent it from burning. Once the sugar browns and melts completely, simply remove the pan from the heat and add butter to it. Next, pour in heavy cream and don't forget the sea salt. Mix everything well to form a smooth and consistent salted caramel sauce and enjoy!
