Whether or not, they are as healthy of fresh veggies is a debatable question. But if you have more vegetables to toy with, you would lean less towards the ready-to-make unhealthy snacks and fill yourself with something healthy. Here are some vegetables that you could consider putting your fridge:

  • Frozen cauliflower is high in fibre, low in calories. It could be used to make a gamut of dishes from curries, soups, stews to rice and smoothies! Cauliflower is a rage in the world of health and nutrition right now, so it would be a good idea to store some in your freezer.
  • Frozen spinach is also ideal to make a number of dishes. You can enjoy it cooked or raw. Spinach is replete with vitamin K, B, iron, calcium and potassium. It is also non-starchy and could be a wonderful addition to your low-carb diet.

  • Frozen bellpeppers can also add a dash of colour to your preparation, in addition to a delightful crunch. They are packed with a range of antioxidants and are very easy to cook too.
