Have you tried the Shravan Combo at McDonald's?

The ongoing Shravan month, as per the Hindu calendar (August 13 to September 11, 2026), is characterised by many people observing fasts and avoiding the consumption of alcohol, non-vegetarian food, onion, garlic and even regular table salt. To accommodate the Shravan fasting diet, McDonald's has introduced a Shravan Specials Menu, and the internet cannot keep calm.

In a post going viral on X, a customer snapped a picture of a digital ordering kiosk, showcasing items such as unsalted fries, strawberry shake, chocolate shake, Signature 7 Veggies Burger, McAloo Tikki NONG Burger (no onion, no garlic) and a few more items.

Why Is Food So Important During Sawan?

Food is seen as an important part of devotion during Sawan. Many devotees follow a satvik diet, which focuses on simple, fresh vegetarian food. It is believed to help keep both the body and mind calm while making it easier to focus on prayer.

The rainy season also brings higher humidity, which can increase the chances of food spoiling quickly. That is another reason why freshly prepared meals are preferred.
