Internet users might be over the 'everything is cake' videos, but now a talented candle artist has revamped the trend by making hyper-realistic candles. Candles are no longer plain sticks of wax in different colours. In a recent video, this artist has transformed candle wax into mouthwatering biryani with a yummy raita candle! The foodie candle video by @houseofdrip._ has gone viral on Instagram, clocking about 7.8 million views. The video begins with a clay dish, similar to a Biryani handi. Two wicks are placed and liquid white wax is poured. Now, this is where the magic begins.
On top of the white wax, the artist places a wax figure in the shape of a half-boiled egg. Next comes a realistic-looking chicken leg made out of wax. This is followed by wax rice grains in colours yellow, orange, and white, just like in a plate of Biryani. Small pieces of wax are added to the top, which looks 100 per cent like fried onions. A green chilli made out of wax goes next, followed by a star anise. If you are left with your mouth wide open, there's more.

The Raita candle is prepared in a small clay bowl, with a wick and white wax. Next raw onion slices (no surprise, it's all wax!) are added and something is done to the texture to make the white wax look exactly like curd.

The video has left viewers not only impressed but drooling. Take a look at the comments:
An Instagram user wrote, "How am I supposed to not eat it?" One asked, "How did you make the rice? this is gorgeous."
A viewer added, "It's so realistic I can smell Biryani and raita from here." One joked, "Imagine keeping this in your room and you suddenly feel hungry at 3 am." Another chimed in, "Hat's off this is way too realistic."
