This delectable dish not only satisfies the taste buds but also provides a power-packed punch of nutrients and energy. Masaba also shared an interesting insight, stating that as per Ayurveda, kala chana helps balance “all three doshas”. For the unversed, three doshas of Ayurveda are vata(space and air), pitta(fire and water), and kapha(earth and water).

 According to Masaba, the moment she shared the picture of her healthy meal on Instagram, her DM was flooded with requests for the secret behind this mouthwatering creation. Responding to her enthusiastic followers, Masaba decided to spill the beans in her next food story.

Here's Masaba Gupta's recipe for kala chana and green moon chilla:

  • Overnight Soaking: Soak the kala chana and green moong sprouts overnight.

  • Make the Mix: Finely chop onion and dhaniya (coriander leaves). Add chilli flakes for a spicy kick. Incorporate a small teaspoon of besan (gram flour) for texture. Add one small tsp of rice atta (rice flour) for binding. Season with salt to taste. Add a little water to bind the mixture.
  • Prepare the Chilla: Heat some ghee in a pan. With your hand, smoothen the mix on the pan to form a chilla.
  • Cook to Perfection: Cook the chilla and enjoy your breakfast.
