Over the years, we have seen Mira Kapoor emerging well as an established food and lifestyle influencer. Today, she enjoys 3.7 million followers on Instagram and a YouTube family of 181k subscribers. On both the platforms, she keeps her fans and followers entertained with various interesting content - most of which are just so relatable! One such video story on her YouTube channel recently grabbed our attention. It featured her talking about the cultural shock she experienced after shifting to Mumbai.
We all know Mira Kapoor (then Mira Rajput) finds her roots in Delhi. She tied the knots with actor Shahid Kapoor in July 2015, and eventually shifted her base to Mumbai. And like everyone, she too was intimidated with the change of place, people and culture. In the short 59-second video on her YouTube channel, Mira spoke about it all.
It started with her saying, "You all know kandha, batata, kothmir, and kalingad. I don't know any of these. It's aalu, pyaaz, dhaniya and tarbooz." She went on explain the difference between the names of fruits and vegetables and said, in Mumbai, people refer to cucumber as kakadi; however, in Delhi, it is called kheera. "Kakadi is another vegetable in Delhi!" she added.
But what we totally related to is how much she missed her 'Delhiwale' momos in Mumbai. If you have explored both the cities, you would know this popular street food of Delhi is yet to make its presence in Mumbai. "There are no momos in Mumbai. It is still not settled with me," she exclaimed.
