It is undoubtedly one of the most loved Italian dishes and has fans all around the globe. No matter where you are in the world, you'll always find a pizza to satisfy your cravings. Recently, American multinational restaurant chain, Pizza Hut, went one step further to show its love for this Italian delicacy as they attempted to make the world's largest pizza ever.

As per Reuters report, this record-breaking pizza is set to be 1,310 square metres in size and will have 68,000 slices once completed. To make the pizza, rectangular slices of pizza dough are laid along the base. The dough is then painted with pizza sauce before cheese and pepperoni are added. Since no oven can accommodate such a giant pizza, it will be cooked using a cooking device that hovers over the pizza pieces. Take a look:

Graves further added, "Pizza Hut has a history of making firsts. We were the first to deliver a pizza, we were the first to take an order over the internet. We've always done big, exciting things. And so, breaking the world record for the world's largest pizza just felt like the right thing to do to celebrate bringing back our largest pizza. So that's why we did it."
