Kachori is a fried puff pastry usually filled with fiery dal filling. In pyaaz kachori you find a delectable onion filing intermixed with a gamut of spices. Pyaaz Kachoris are also slightly bigger in size and served with a smattering of sweet and tangy chutneys.
2. Mirchi Vada
As the name suggests, it is not meant for those with zero-tolerance for spice. Long green peppers, stuffed with mashed potato filling coated with besan and deep fried. This hot and spicy snack is a must-try.
3. Kanji Vada
This unique street food is truly one of a kind. Bite-sized moong dal vadas dipped in a tangy, fermented drink called kanji. Kanji vada is immensely popular especially during the time of Holi.
4. Kalmi Vada
The deep-fried savouries are made with a mix of lentils like chana, arhar and moong dal and tingling spices like hing and ajwain. It is often paired with a zesty pudina chutney.
5. Bhujia
You saw this coming, didn't you? The crispy snack is made with fine noodles of besan, dal or potato. They may or may not be spicy, but they have to be crunchy. Good crunch is hallmark of good bhujia.
6. Mathri
The flat and crispy snack often seasoned with ajwain or carom snack is one of the best things you can pair with your cup of tea. You can also enjoy it with a bit if pickle of the side.
