The best part about these street-foods are - they are fuss-free and can be made easily at home. Hence, we bring you a popular pav-based recipe from the streets of Mumbai that can be a quick go-to snack to satiate your weird time hunger pangs - masala omelette pav.

Mumbai's famous masala omelette pav is basically a perfectly cooked masala omelette, sandwiched in butter toasted ladi pav. The flavour of this dish enhances with the inclusion of spices like garam masala, chaat masala, red chilli powder and more.

Here's The Recipe For Mumbai's Special Masala Omelette Pav:

Ingredients:

Eggs- 2

Onions- 1

Tomato- 1

Green chilli- 2

Freshly chopped coriander leaves- 1 tablespoon

Red bell pepper- half

Garam masala- 1 teaspoon

Black pepper- half teaspoon

Salt- as per taste

Sugar- a pinch

Red chilli powder- one-third teaspoon

Chaat masala- half teaspoon

Ladi pav- 2

Oil- 2 teaspoons

Butter- 1 teaspoon

Method:

Slit the ladi pavs and keep aside. Instead of buying, you can also make the pavs at home. Click here for the recipe.

Finely chop all the veggies and keep in a mixing bowl.

Break the two eggs in the same bowl and whisk.

Add salt, black pepper, red chilli powder, chaat masala, half teaspoon garam masala, sugar and freshly chopped coriander leaves in it. Mix everything together.

Heat oil in a tawa and put the mixture on it. Spread it well and fry an omelette.

On one side of the tawa put the butter, sprinkle the rest of the garam masala and toast the slited pav.

All you need to do now is, tactfully place the yummy omelette in between the pav; and your masala omelette pav is ready to relish.
