We already know that eating protein-rich foods is key when you want to lose weight and maintain your calorie intake. But why protein and why it gets all the limelight when we talk about eating nutrient-dense foods for weight loss? It's simple! Protein-rich foods keep us satiated for longer time; meaning you binge less on other fattening foods and your overall calorie-intake is under control. Various health practitioners and nutritionists recommend including good amount of protein in our diet, especially if we are trying to lose weight or trying to keep our blood sugar levels in control. Protein-rich foods help us lose extra body fat and build lean muscle mass, of course, but it seems that many of us have gotten into a rut, depending on just a few primary sources of protein like chicken, boiled eggs, paneer or tofu. But did you know that there are many Indian dishes that we usually love eating every then and now, can actually fit in this category too, of course if cooked in less oil (or butter). Mumbai-based food YouTuber, Alpa Modi on the her channel 'Something's Cooking With Alpa' has shared some easy protein-rich Indian recipes.

Here are some protein-rich Indian recipes that are not only easy-to-make, but will also fit in your weight loss diet plan:
