Water is the second most critical element for human life on earth after oxygen. On an average 60% of an adult's body weight consists of water. Out of this, the brain and heart are composed of 73% water, and the lungs are about 83% water. The skin contains 64% water, muscles and kidneys are 79%, and interestingly enough, even the bones contains 31%! Water's essence as a nutrient can be gauged from the fact that we can survive up to several weeks without food, but only a few days without water. Every system in the body, from cells and tissues to vital organs, requires water to function.
Here's How Water Helps Our Body To Function Well:
1. Water is your first defense against chronic ailments
Sufficient intake of water throughout the day helps you to ward off any kind of ailments such as the following:
- Arthritis and joint problems and in some cases with calcium-rich water, even osteoporosis can be prevented or largely kept under control.
- Depression: In the absence of adequate water, our brain can't produce enough serotonin. The brain needs water to produce melatonin and inadequate levels of water could lead to insomnia.
2. Water as a contributor in production of lymph
Our body's immune system uses lymph to circulate WBC (White Blood Cells) and nutrients to all of our body tissues. Body needs water in order to produce lymph, and in the absence of lymph, the WBC and other immune cells will not be able to travel across your body to combat serious ailments or diseases.
3. Water aids digestion
A strong immune system is possible only with a strong nutrition level, and for that, adequate water level is a must so that you are not constipated or end up having digestive problems.
4. Water flushes out toxins and oxygenates the blood
Water acts as a carrier for blood to carry oxygen to all cells of human body. For the body systems to function optimally, it's imperative that it gets adequate oxygen. Adequate water also allows kidneys to get of toxins from the body, and whenever there is inadequate water, toxins build up their base and destroy the immune system.

The best part about glass bottles is that they can be recycled endlessly
Benefits Of Drinking Natural Mineral Water (Especially From A Glass Bottle):
Bottled water is just purified water and there's absolutely nothing in it, whether you drink it from PET or from glass bottles. For matters pertaining to health and wellness, it's important to have natural mineral water or spring water from glass bottles for the following reasons:
1. Glass maintains the mineral composition and temperature of the water
Glass water bottles are capable of maintaining the temperature of the water given the natural ingredients such as sand, silica and others.
2. Absence of any contaminants
It's a common experience to have a residue smell of plastic many a times when we drink water from PET bottles. This is because when water is bottled in PET, it travels a distance and in the process is exposed to heat and humidity which in turns leaches harmful toxins like BPA into the water. This, however, does not happen in the case of glass bottles because the container doesn't leach toxins nor will they absorb the residual taste of the beverages.
3. Easy on maintenance
Glass water bottles are easy to maintain and, therefore, can be used innumerable number of times given its strong packaging. Some of the glass bottles are also capable of getting sterilised in dish washers without the fear of getting damaged or melted.
4. Environmental friendly
The best part about glass bottles is that they can be recycled endlessly and, thereby, can be kept away from landfills or dump yards. Unfortunately, most of the PET bottles end up in the landfills and end up coming back into our food cycle which is not the case with glass. They are retained for being utilitarian in nature and in that sense can be filled with other liquids /beverages and not just water.
