Amul's Fun Take On Ed Sheeran's Unplugged Bengaluru Moment
Amul released a creative topical featuring international music sensation Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran is currently in India as part of his Mathematics Tour. He has already performed at venues in multiple cities, including Pune, Hyderabad and Chennai. However, his impromptu performance in Bengaluru was recently interrupted by local police. A video of the incident went viral on social media, showing cops intervening and stopping the performance. Dairy giant Amul decided to contribute to the public discourse by posting a subtly hilarious topical about it. The illustration features an Indian policeman holding a piece of bread in one hand while offering another to Ed Sheeran. Dressed in a blue t-shirt and shorts, the caricature of Ed Sheeran is seen extending his hand to accept the snack. Meanwhile, he is also depicted carrying his guitar and standing in front of a microphone.

The witty artwork includes two quirky captions: "Ed Sharin' a snack!" and "Eat on the street!" - a playful nod to the incident. The side note read, "#Amul Topical: British singer-musician's impromptu Bengaluru performance shut down!"

This isn't the first time Amul has grabbed the internet's attention with its innovative topicals. Previously, when Payal Kapadia's film All We Imagine As Light earned two prestigious nominations at the 82nd Golden Globes 2025 - Best Motion Picture (Non-English Language) and Best Director (Motion Picture) for Kapadia herself - Amul posted a special topical celebrating her incredible achievement. The creative featured filmmaker Payal Kapadia enjoying Amul butter on toast alongside actress Divya Prabha and Kani Kusruti. The text atop the poster read, "This Gold, Loved Globally" - a playful reference to Payal Kapadia's filmmaking waves on the global stage. The caption read, "Amul Topical: Payal Kapadia's film nominated for two Golden Globes." Click here for the full story.
