The diet in this program include seafoods, all types of fishes, nuts, fat free or low-fat cheese (cheddar, feta, mozzarella, parmesan, etc), eggs, tofu, vegetables (sprouts, celery, asparagus, aubergines, broccoli, cabbage, cauliflower, cucumbers, lettuce, mushrooms, snow peas, spinach, turnips), canola oil and olive oil. One can also consume sweet but it should be limited to 75 calories per meal. Sweet treats can include baking cocoa powder, no added sugar chocolate powder and sugar substitutes

Foods To Avoid

On the other hand, the foods that should be avoided in South Beach Diet are starch, carbohydrates, fruits (apples, apricots, peaches, pears), vegetables (beets, carrots, corn, tomato, potatoes, sweet potatoes), dairy products and alcohol of any kind. One can however consume tomato, if it is limited to one whole or 10 cherry tomatoes per meal.

Take four egg whites and whisk them well to create a froth

Chop some nuts of your choice

Shred some mozzarella

Pour the egg white froth in a pan brushed with olive oil, on a medium flame
