Social media has many problems and causes for worry. Sometimes, spending even a little time on such platforms can leave us anxious and/ or angry. But at the same time, social media can also give us reasons to smile and appreciate fellow humans. The latest incident that is winning hearts online concerns a food delivery executive working for Zomato. A recent Facebook post included a screenshot by Karan Apte, where he wrote, "Today's my birthday. Bought a new shirt and distributed chocolates with every order I delivered in Zomato."

The post was shared on the Facebook page 'Indians on Internet 2.0.' Tagging the food delivery platform, the caption read, "Zomato send him bday gift." Karan's gesture has since gone viral, and many people were left touched by it. Several FB users tagged the company to draw its attention to the same. Here are some of their reactions:

"Zomato, he surely deserves a gift."

It turns out, Zomato did take notice of their appeals. A few days later, Karan shared a photo of a yummy-looking cake on his personal FB page, explaining that it was sent by his employers. Take a look below:
