Bengali style Chana Dal is a delicious lentil dish cooked with Bengal gram or chana dal. This dish of dal is flavoured with coconut, ghee and an assortment of whole spices.

Chana Dal 1 cup
Ghee 1 tsp
Coconut 1/2 cup
Cinnamon 1 stick
Bay Leaf 1
Clove 1
Raisins 1/4 cup
Turmeric 1/ 2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Sugar pinch
Water as required
For Tadka -
Ghee 1 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
Bay Leaves 2
Cloves 2
Cinnamon 1 stick
Cardamom 4
Red Chilli whole 2
