Kuttu ka atta is commonly used in Navratri vrat menu. 

Navratri-Special Kuttu Ka Halwa Recipe:

(Serving - 4-5)

1 cup kuttu ka atta (buckwheat flour)

1 cup sugar

1 tsp cardamom powder

Half cup ghee (clarified butter)

2 glass water

5-6 cashew nuts

5-6 raisins

5-6 pistachios, grated

Method:

Step 1 - Heat some ghee in a kadhai and roast cashews and raisins. Keep aside.

Step 2 - Sift the kuttu flour through a sieve. Heat around half cup ghee in the kadhai and roast the sifted kuttu flour on low flame while stirring continuously.

Step 3 - When the flour changes colour and is well roasted, add cardamom powder and mix well.

Step 4 - Add sugar and water and let it cook till the flour absorb all the water and sugar is dissolved. Stir often.

Step 5 - Add the roasted cashews and raisins, and mix well. Turn off the gas and garnish with pistachio shaving before serving hot.
