To prepare this all you need is a bowl of rice, milk, saffron (kesar), milk powder, sugar, and a few dry fruits to top it up. To begin with the recipe, wash the rice and soak it for at least 1-2 hours. Once done, drain, and keep aside.

Now, take a large pan, add milk and boil over medium heat. Meanwhile, take a spoonful of milk from the pan, add in saffron strands, and mix. Keep the saffron mixture aside for further use.

Chop almonds and pistachios. Add them to the boiling milk. After that, add cardamom powder.
