According to the United States Department Of Agriculture (USDA), 100 grams of bitter gourd has about 3.6 grams proteins, 7 grams of carbohydrates and 602 grams potassium. It is also recommended to diabetics as its properties help in regulating blood pressure levels. Karela is also low-fat, low-calorie and low-carb veggie that is an essential for fast and effective weight loss.
