Tamannaah Bhatia has often revealed her foodie side to her fans. She is someone who seems to enjoy a number of mouth-watering dishes from time to time. And often, when she is too happy with her meals, she shares snippets of her indulgences online. Her social media account often portrays her fondness for food. And now, she has found a new favourite snack. Yes, Tamannaah's latest gastronomic adventure included a popular homemade Gujarati snack. Her recent Instagram Stories featured some drool-worthy patra topped with white sesame seeds served in a box for the actress. She wrote, “My new favourite snack,” and added the hashtag “Homemade patra.”

For the unversed, patra resembles bright green colocasia leaves (or taro root) that are further coated with a thick batter made of gram flour, tamarind pulp, chilli powder, turmeric, asafetida, cumin seeds and sugar.

Once this process is done, another leaf is placed on top, and the process is repeated. These stacks of leaves are then folded in tight rolls and cut into equal-shaped chunks which are then steamed.

People usually enjoy this healthy steamed version of it. However, for more taste and to make the crispier, these steamed pieces are also fried and savoured.
