1/2 kg minced meat 1 egg 1 tbsp coriander 1 large onion 1" ginger - peeled 2 deseeded green chillies 1 tsp cinnamon powder salt 3 tbsp oil Gravy 2 onions - ground 1" ginger - peeled and grated 3/4 tsp turmeric 3/4 tsp garam masala 350 gm tomatoes - peeled and chopped 200 ml water
How to Make Kofta Curry
1.Combine the meat and egg together. Grind the remaining kofta ingredients and mix with the meat. Form into small roundels and fry in hot oil to seal the meat. Remove the koftas and saute the onion paste in the same oil. When colored, add ginger, turmeric and garam masala. Cook for 2-3 minutes before adding tomatoes. When the mixture is smooth, pour in the water and bring it to a boil. Replace koftas and simmer the meat for 10 minutes till it is tender. Serve hot and garnish with yoghurt and coriander.
