Balaram Mulllick Radharaman Mullick is one of the oldest 'mishtir dokan' or sweet shops in Kolkata and, every independence day, traditionally makes special 'sandesh' in the colours of the Indian flag. Owner Sudip Mullick says the 'sandesh' is a best-seller on Indepence Day. And the food colours in the flag absolutely safe. Mostly pistachio and saffron.
