The Hurl Hurl

What looks like an innocent drink proves to be otherwise. The Hurl Hurl contains 1 part of Amaretto, cranberry juice, cr�me de banane, Malibu rum, melon liqueur, peach schnapps, raspberry liqueur, Southern Comfort, and triple sec. All the ingredients are mixed together in a shaker with ice untill the drink is very cold. Some say that adding liqueurs makes the drink go down very smoothly but others call it a deadly combination of too many of them.

The Zombie

This one is know as one of the most potent drinks our there due to the combination of rum and a whole lot of sugar. Pineapple juice, orange juice, apricot brandy, 1 teaspoon of sugar, light rum, dark rum and lime juice are all blended together, while Bacardi 151 (which has about 75% alcohol) floats on top. It is also known as the 'Skull Puncher'. It is known to have been first created in late 1934 by Donn Beach of Hollywood's Don the Beachcomber restaurant to help a hung-over customer get through his business meeting.

Aunt Roberta

This drink contains nothing but alcohol. With two shots of absinthe, three shots of vodka, one shot of brandy, one and half shots of gin and one shot of blackberry liqueur, this is one of the strongest drinks in the world. The drink is known to have been invented in the 1800's by an Alabama woman who sold drinks made of home-made gin and moonshine. It is believed that she stumbled upon this concoction when she couldn't find the right measures. The drink was made popular by one of her customers, Billy Joe Spratt who introduced his version of the cocktail it to New York.

Vapourtini

This drink started a new trend of inhaling alcohol. It is dangerous because of the way it is consumed. Invented by Julie Palmer, spirits are heated at 140 Fahrenheit and inhaled directly into the bloodstream without actually drinking it. He claims that inhaling alcohol in this way has the advantage of no calories, no carbs and immediate effects. The drink is available in his lounge in Chicago's West Loop neighbourhood.

Tequila Blue Blazer

You'll have to juggle with flames to gulp this down. More than the drink, the presentation is what makes it a bit dangerous. In one metal pitcher, Reposado tequila and mezcal are combined. In another pitcher, some boiling water is added. The tequila pitcher is then lit, until the alcohol catches on fire. It is then poured into the boiling water pitcher and passed back and forth until thoroughly combined and then served after putting out the fire.

Typically consumed as an after-dinner drink, the combination of espresso powder and vodka makes it lethal. The concoction is consumed by first keeping lemon, sugar and coffee powder in your mouth and then taking one shot of vodka. This is them slowly chewed and swallowed followed by another shot of vodka. While alcohol is known to slow circulation, caffeine combined with Vitamin C from lime and sugar increase blood circulation allowing the alcohol to be absorbed quickly and reach the brain swiftly.
