Before we take you to the recipe, you need to know how did the cappuccino come into being!
History of Cappuccino:
The term ‘Cappuccino' was originated in Italy and was derived from the Capuchin friars. Capuchin friars were a sect of Christianity and they were often seen carrying coffee. It is this habit of theirs that led the coffee to be named Cappuccino. However, the drink was not known as we know it today. Cappuccino was called “Kapuziner” and was popular in Viennese coffee houses. Kapuziner was initially described as coffee, cream and sugar and later on spices were also added to the recipe. The cappuccino came after the popularization of espresso machines. The espresso machine led to the prevalence of coffee houses and Italian coffee culture of sitting around in cafes for hours, enjoying cappuccinos over conversation and books, a culture that now even Indians have embraced.
