For this particular recipe, you need anjeer, milk, rice, condensed milk and some elaichi powder. We prefer using some saffron strands for the colour and aroma, but you may include yellow food colour instead.

You need to soak anjeer overnight and make a smooth paste of it. Likewise, soak the rice (preferably fragrant rice) for a few hours and blend. Now, heat milk in a pan and add rice paste to it. Always remember, you must keep stirring to avoid formation of any kind of lump. Then add the anjeer paste to it and stir and boil till the while mix turns creamy and thick. Now add condensed milk, some saffron strands and bring everything to a boil on medium flame. Finally add some cardamom powder and serve. You can enjoy it both hot and cold.
