Rice is a staple in India and in many regions, people prefer using their hands for a rice meal. In fact, many old-timers may even suggest that food eaten with hands tastes better. So the post of a former butler to the British royals suggesting otherwise led to outrage on Twitter. It all started when 'The Royal Butler', a popular etiquette expert on Twitter, posted an image of an almost-finished plate of rice and declared that rice is best eaten with a knife, fork or chopsticks.
According to the Royal Butler's Twitter bio, he is also a Royal Commentator/Aide and former butler to Princes Charles, William and Harry. He decided to share his knowledge of royal eating etiquettes via a Twitter post that said, "Ladies and gentlemen, remember we always use a knife and fork or chopsticks to eat rice! We do not use our hands or fingers!!!"

Soon, there was a deluge of reactions on Twitter – some furious and some sarcastic. The post has clocked in more than 8k comments and over 1200 likes so far.
